Z is for Zebra (of course)

I cannot believe this is the very last post for the A-Z Challenge!
Creating posts for this challenge was so much fun
and I certainly enjoyed it.
I also enjoyed making so many new bloggy friends.
When the challenge began I had around 22 followers,
now I'm at 75!
I'm also grateful for all the new blogs I discovered.  I enjoy reading them everyday.

Now, it should come as no suprise that today I'm featuring my most favoritest animal

T H E Z E B R A!

LOVE all things zebra
(probably not a big suprise seeing my blog is titled the pinkk zebraa)
and I've had this obesession since 7th grade.
I have a black and white themed bedroom with zebra pillows and a zebra lamp that my sister just bought me.
I have zebras in my living room.
I wanted zebras in the bathroom but Nehemiah begged me not to, so I didn't.
I have zebra undies, and if my boobs weren't so huge I'd have the matching bra.
I have a zebra umbrella.
I zebra pens and pencils.
I have a zebra wallet.
I even have zebra jewelery.
And let's not forget the makeup bag (it's pink too, super cute)
Next on my list are zebra rain boots, bedding, and a rug for my room.

Here are some more awesome zebra things I've found.

Please don't ask me to pick my favorite item because I'd have to choose them all!

I'm so sad this is the last post for the challenge, which brings me onto my next point.
I will only be blogging Monday through Friday.
The weekend is exclusive to me and Nehemiah.
But no worries, ya'll know I'll fill you in on the good stuff every Monday.
I'm going to try out a schedule, so we'll see how it goes.

Also,
check out my blogger award page to see what I got and who I passed it onto.

Have a Great Weekend!

Y is for Yes, I love Television

Today is the very first Boob Tube Friday
with Neely and Meagan
and I'm so excited!

But before I forget...
I won a giveaway
over at Leigh Ashley!
You should def go check out her blog and her Etsy shop, Barberry & Lace.
You'll love it.
Ok, back to tv.
I love television
although I'm very adamant on not having it on all the time
let's not forget about Nehemiah's well-being.

Anyway, throughout the week I watched some good stuff
so I was having a hard time trying to figure out which show I wanted to post about.
Then I watched some recorded shows on my dvr and ultimately I had to feature

 G. L. E. E.

image

Did anyone else love this week's 90 min episode?
If you didn't watch you seriously need to go here and view it.
It was awesome!

I won't do a full recap because I wouldn't be able to do it justice.
Yes, it was that good.
I will tell you that each member of the Glee Club had to identify something about
themselves that made them each unique, which is why Lady Gaga's
Born This Way was the featured song.
The kids all made shirts that stated what their uniqueness was
hence the picture above.

I loved this episode because it identified that everyone usually has something they would like to change about themselves.  However, that one thing is what sets you apart from everyone else.
No conformity is needed.
And this my friend is why Glee rocks!

My shirt would read:

not skinny

What would your shirt say?

X is for the X-Factor

The X-Factor I'm referring to isn't the newest UK talent show.
I'm referring to the case of the X boyfriend.

Remember back when I posted here and here about the breakup that was devastating me?
That seems like an entirely different world than the one I'm now living in.
Matter of fact, it seems like an entirely different me.
It doesn't hurt anymore to think about him, but I don't find myself thinking about him all that often.
I'm officially over him and what I thought we had.
I'm not seeing anyone, and I'm not quite sure I really want to.

The company of a male someone would nice, but that's not the main focus of my life right now.
I'm pretty content, although I will admit that sometimes I do get lonely.
In due time my prince will come.
I'm most certain of it.

I will say that I don't think I ever fully healed from the relationships that damaged me the most.
You know, the relationships that started out bad and ended even worse.
The ones that strip you from your self worth, and make you doubt who you really are.
Yeah, I've had two of those.

So now that leaves me with two choices:
1.) get over it and leave the past behind me
2.) dwell on it and ruin future relationships

I think I'll go with option 1.

So for this week's Thankful Thursday,
I'm thankful for getting over the breakup
and for being a strong woman who knows what she wants.

W is for What I've Learned So Far

Throughout my life I’ve had my share of high and lows,
ups and downs, and of course disappointments.
However, all these experiences have made me more the wiser.
So for today’s letter I decided to share some of my life lessons.

Here’s what I’ve learned so far

*heartbreaks can be survived although they are painful

*children are much more resilient than we give them credit for

*cats are smart creatures, especially my Miss Cinnamon

*friendships need to be a two-way door that includes both listening and hearing

*my mom is usually right, this is tough sometime

*no one has a perfect life no matter how things look on the outside

*books really are knowledge, who knew right

*the grass is not greener on the other side, it’s just a mirage

*being healthy is really a blessing

*prayer is the answer to everything

*chocolate will usually make everything better

*smiling is good for the soul

*in order to be the best person you can be, you must be yourself

Please feel free to share any life lessons you have.

how do ya'll like the new look of my blog?

R is for Reality TV

I'm a big reality TV junkie and in my crazy world
reality TV = reality
Now I'm well aware that just because a show is labeled as reality
it does not mean it's an accurate portrayal of someone's life
I attribute this little fact to the L.A. Candy Series
but all that aside, I still get wrapped up in the drama
and the fabulousness of a world so different than my own.

Here are my favorites

via
i love watching the different crews compete, it gets intense

via
braxton family values
this family has a ton of drama

via
i love seeing the designs

via
some people look a hot mess before they get made over

via
my favorite show, i love tim gunn

via
drama

via
real housewives of beverly hills
more drama

via
tabitha is a beast and i love it

via
sister wives
my favorite polygamists

what reality shows do you watch?

O is for Oh My Goodness

Over the past few days there have been some recent events that made me utter
"OMG!"
Very fitting for the letter O don't ya think?!

1.) I have officially finished A C C O U N T I N G
it's done, it's over, it's onto the next class
Whoot Whoot!!

2.) I passed accounting although I'm not certain what my actual grade is
{I'll find out on Tuesday}

3.) Classes don't resume again until May 4th
{this was a complete suprise}

4.) I'm considering weight loss surgery
{with the help and support of my physician of course}

and the best OMG

5.) I've finally started writing.
Yep, I'm working on a novel.
Lots of ideas floating around in this big head of mine
and thanks to a very good blogging buddy,
I decided to put the pen to the pad
{not really, I use my laptop}
and got to work.

There's a time for dreaming and a time for action.
I'm in the action phase,
{dreaming is still allowed but of course}
and I'm loving every minute of it!

What things are making you say OMG?!

N is for Nehemiah

Seeing that today is the letter "N"
you know I had to dedicate this post to my
Nehemiah!

For those of you who aren't aware,
Nehemiah's name is a book in the Old Testament of the Bible.

These are the passages that inspired the name Nehemiah.
By the way, Nehemiah's name means to be comforted by God
pretty awesome right?!

1 Early the following spring, in the month of Nisan,
during the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes’ reign, I was serving the king his wine. I had never before appeared sad in his presence.
2 So the king asked me, “Why are you looking so sad? You don’t look sick to me. You must be deeply troubled.”
   Then I was terrified,
3 but I replied, “Long live the king! How can I not be sad? For the city where my ancestors are buried is in ruins, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.”
4 The king asked, “Well, how can I help you?”
With a prayer to the God of heaven,
5 I replied, “If it please the king, and if you are pleased with me, your servant, send me to Judah to rebuild the city where my ancestors are buried.”
6 The king, with the queen sitting beside him, asked, “How long will you be gone? When will you return?” After I told him how long I would be gone, the king agreed to my request.

I loved the fact that Nehemiah was afraid, so he prayed.
Very inspiring.
