L is for Lauren

As in Lauren Conrad.
I've been reading the L.A. Candy Series,
and I'm completely hooked.
I've learned of this darling series from one of my fellow bloggers,
but I don't remember which one-sorry.
So thank you to whomever it was that had these books
listed on their blog.

I'm on book three and I'm sad it's almost over.
update: i finished the book last night
If you have not read any of the books, and you like young adult girly books,
this series is for you my friend.
I never watched Laguna Beach or The Hills,
but I now consider myself a L.C. fan.

So considering that today is Thankful Thursday
I'm thankful for good books
and cute clothes!

Here are some of my favorite items from L.C.'s collection @ Kohl's,

LC Lauren Conrad Asymmetrical Rosette Charmeuse Dress

LC Lauren Conrad Brushstroke Chiffon Dress

LC Lauren Conrad Floral Chiffon Top

LC Lauren Conrad Gold-Tone Simulated Pearl Cluster Drop Earrings

LC Lauren Conrad Textured Open-Front Cardigan

LC Lauren Conrad Vermont Peep-Toe High Heels

LC Lauren Conrad Rosette Chiffon Top

LC Lauren Conrad Silver-Tone Leaf Drop Earrings

LC Lauren Conrad Soutache Embellished Top

I'm thinking the first dress would make a cute little number for me to wear on Easter.

What books have you read lately,
and what could you see yourself wearing?
What are you thankful for?

K is for Kitchen

Whenever I'm in Home Depot or Lowes
my favorite section to visit is the the
kitchen section.

I'm intrigued by all the different options, colors, and textures.
Kitchens are the heart of a home,
or maybe I just love me a kitchen
because I love to eat!
Either way it goes, kitchens rock.

So let's pretend we're all getting a kitchen makeover shall we.
Which kitchen would you choose?

#1
so chic

via

 #2
love the bar stools
via
 #3
love the openness of the space
via
 #4
very sexy,
although i'm not sure that sexy and kitchen
should be used in the same sentence
via

#5
i'm all about going green,
but i'm not sure how i feel about this kitchen
via

 #6

via
 #7

via
 #8

via
 #10

J is for Just In Case

Just in case
you all were wondering where my Target Tuesday "J" post was
I wanted to fill you in on what was going on.

Last night I started feeling light headed
and nauseated.
I knew what was coming next.

A seizure.

I went to bed thinking I could sleep it off.
I woke up this morning still feeling ill, and after I put Nehemiah on the bus
the shaking began.

When the shaking starts I have to immediately call my parents
because I cannot be alone.
I lose my independence.

So I took my meds and went to sleep
hoping that the shaking would stop.
But it didn't.
It's taking me forever to type this post because of the shaking,

My mom is here and I love her for taking care of me.
Hopefully tomorrow is better.

I is for Indecisive

 INDECISIVE
1: not decisive : inconclusive <an indecisive battle>
2: marked by or prone to indecision : irresolute <an indecisive state of mind>
3: not clearly marked out : indefinite
and the fourth definition should be a pic of yours truly
cheeeeesssseeee
That's right folks,
I'm one of the most indecisive people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting.
I can't make a quick decision to save my life!
I have to make list upon list to weigh pros and cons.
It takes me forever to buy items like shampoo and conditioner
because I have to make comparisons.
I can spend 20 minutes in the isle just looking.
Geesh.
Picking out an outfit is a nightmare.
Which shirt should I wear, or should I wear a dress?
Would leggings work best?
What type of shoes, flats, heels, sneakers?
Which pair of earrings go best?
Do I need other accessories?
Does this look okay, or should I change?
It's never ending.
and let's not mention putting on makeup.
So
many
color
options.
What's a girl to do?
Can anyone else relate to my indecisiveness?

H is for Honolulu

Back in May of 2009, I had the priviledge of going to Hawaii.
My best friend and her husband lived there, and they wanted me to visit before they moved.
Hawaii was the most amazing place, and I long to go back.
For the entire adventure, check out my Hawaii or Vacation labels.
Out of 1200 pics, here are some of my favs.
1200 pics are intimidating, so I have yet to put together my Hawaii scrapbook!

G is for the Golden Girls

Today's letter is G,
and seeing that I have a unhealthy very normal obsession with the Golden Girls,
I had to feature my favorite ladies.

I have the GG's on DVD, and I still DVR my favorite episodes.
I relate all real life experiences to GG episodes.
For example,
my mom and i were having a conversation about my sisters, and i stated
"blanche was willing to give her kidney to virginia, and blanche didn't even like virginia!"
Whenever I reference anything to the GG
My niece's favorite saying is
"oh wow auntie sina."

I guess some could say I have an addiction.
I say I know good tv when I see it.

Most of the facts I found I already knew, but I figured I'd share my knowledge with all of you.
So here goes:
 Facts & photo found here

1.) The show premiered on Sept. 14, 1985 and during its seven-year run, it won two Emmys and three Golden Globes.
The stars of the show were Bea Arthur {dorothy}, Betty White {rose},
 Rue McClanahan {blanche}, and Estelle Getty{sophia}
2.)  Rue was almost Rose, and Betty was almost Blanche
3.) The Golden Girls had as many pining exes and suitors as Carrie Bradshaw and Sex and the City
{and this explains why I love both shows!!}
4.)  The man who played George’s {Blanche’s deceased husband} illegitimate son is played by Mark Moses of Desperate Housewives
{mom and I have a running joke that I can currently recognize anyone who has ever been on GG, and this was the O N L Y guy I couldn’t place}.
Let's not forget George Clooney played Bobby Hopkins, a cop who did a stake-out at the girl's house.
{this is my own fact because it's from one of my fav episodes}
5.) The Golden Palace was a GG spin-off, which aired from 1992 to 1993.  Bea Arthur opted out of the CBS re-imagining. Palace still featured a fantastic foursome: Betty White, Estelle Getty, Rue McClanahan and ... Don Cheadle.
6.) Estelle Getty was in her early 60’s when she played 80-year-old Sophia.

And that completes the fact portion of this post.
What's your favorite GG episode?

I wanted to give a very quick update on my accounting class.
For all of my new followers, I had mentioned here and here
the struggles I was having with this class.
I'm proud to report that as of next week, my class is finished!
By the grace of God, I can say I made it.
I didn't give up!
I'm so very proud of myself.
